One of Rotary's areas of focus continues to be the Environment, and the Rotary Club of London (RCL) supports this focus by funding and actively planting trees at a selected site. This will be our fourth planting, having previously completed spring tree plantings along the Hyde Park Rotary Link in northwest London, along the busy walkway in central London at Greenway Park, and around the border of Pincombe Pond (stormwater pond) located just behind 3150 Wonderland Road South. This year, we will be planting along the southern border of Genevive Park, located at 70 Genevive Crescent just north of Oxford Street, west of Highbury Ave., and east of Victoria Dr.
We will need between 30 and 35 volunteer planters. The event will run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 26th.
We need all volunteers to sign up for this project as we need to provide ReForest London with a list of our "Tree Planters" by/before the middle of April. So.... Please don't delay; sign up for this RCL service project now. Here is the Registration Link to sign up:
Once we have our participation list, more details will be provided as we approach the day of Tree Planting.
