Jim advises all shift times at RCL Angelo's on Wonderland North location have been filled--THANK YOU-- Remember proof of vaccination required--
--BUT THE SALVATION ARMY 2021 KETTLE PROGRAMME CONTINUES TO NEED VOLUNTEER SUPPORT AS FOLLOWS--.
Dear Kettles Volunteers, All of this beautiful snow outside is definitely making it feel like Christmas is near! The wintery weather makes us think of comfort, good food and warmth. The hours that you put in volunteering can help people achieve these simple needs in life. For many Canadians the Christmas kettle is their only point of contact with The Salvation Army all year and it is often peoples primary method of giving. The money donated is used to fund community service programs in London and with the rising costs of food, rent and necessities and with the continuing Pandemic, the need is even higher. Unfortunately even with the dedication of so many volunteers this year we are still struggling to fill volunteer spots and most days volunteer shifts are still only 35% to 40% full. The LCBO's start this Friday, December 3rd and there are still lots of opportunities available. Costco South and Costco North start Friday, December 10th and also have lots of volunteer opportunities available.
Below is a list of some of our best kettles that still have lots of shifts to fill:
Walmart - Argyle
Loblaws - Richmond and Fanshawe
Masonville Mall - Near Elevator
White Oaks Mall - Near La Senza and Tim Hortons kettle
Metro Byron
Costco North
Costco South
Sobeys - Adelaide and Fanshaw
All LCBO's
If you are able to do any volunteer shifts I encourage you to please give Angela a call. You can also sign up online at www.londonchristmaskettles.comBlessings, Angela, 2021 London Christmas Kettle TEAM, 519-873-2984. londonchristmaskettles@gmail.com
