After a several year hiatus due to the pandemic the Rotary Club of London is delighted to resume our annual joint Rotary/Kiwanis lunch at our next meeting on Monday May 29th. Our last joint meeting with the Kiwanis Club of Forest City-London was before 2019. So please plan on coming out to welcome and show some Rotary friendship and fellowship with these Kiwanians. Our meeting is being held at the Highland Country Club located at 1922 Highland Heights, London, Ontario. Our Guest Speaker for this meeting is Greg Playford, owner and president of Devonshire Financial, a commercial mortgage broker company and sister company, Devonshire Consulting which provides affordable housing development consulting services to the non-profit, private and co-op housing sectors. Price of this meeting is $30 per person and it will be a self-serve light buffet. The meeting room will be open from 11:30 AM for fellowship and the buffet will also be available then. So.... please plan on arriving no later than 11:45 AM so that you have time to serve yourself and find a table to sit at. Our business meeting will start at NOON but no later than 12:15 PM. We will endeavour to end the meeting by 1:00 PM. As usual we need you to register for this meeting. The Registration Link will close at 2:00 PM Friday May 26th so that we can advise Highland CC regarding numbers. Please register as soon as possible but be sure to register before 2 PM Friday. After you have registered please arrange to e-transfer your payment to The Rotary Club of London at sronson55@gmail.com. Also be sure to put who you are paying for in your memo section on the e-transfer so that Sandy Ronson can track payments.
Greg Playford is the owner and president of Devonshire Financial, a commercial mortgage brokerage company based in London, Ontario. Sister company, Devonshire Consulting, founded in 2006, provides affordable housing development consulting services to the non-profit, private and co- op housing sectors. Greg founded Devonshire Financial in 1991 and has been active in arranging construction and term financing for apartment buildings, retirement and nursing homes and non-profit and co-op housing projects. Through Devonshire Consulting, Greg has been Lead Consultant in the development of over 25 affordable housing projects throughout Ontario. He is a past president of Homes Unlimited, a London charitable non-profit that has 10 housing projects with over 600 units, and is a former Chair of the London Community Foundation.
