--BENIN CANTEEN / KITCHEN PROJECT COMPLETED--
The canteen / kitchen project completion was a result of the activities of the Club's World Community Services committee. The Committee is looking for members, if you are interested contact Keith.

Welcome to 2025 & the new location. Our meetings will continue to be on the second and fourth Monday of the month at the same time. We will meet at the Western Fairgrounds in the GROVE MEETING ROOM #1. The meeting costs are $25.00 per person and will be a self-serve light buffet. The meeting room will be open from 11:30 AM for fellowship, and the buffet will also be available. So, please plan on arriving no later than 11:45 AM so you have time to serve yourself and find a table. Our business meeting will start at noon. We will endeavor to end the meeting by 1:00 PM. As usual, we were hoping you could register for this meeting. The Registration Link will close at NOON July 11th so we can advise The Western Fair regarding numbers. Please register as soon as possible but be sure to register before noon Friday. If you are registering yourself or any guests. Please make sure you pay for the lunch, as the Club will get charged for the meal by The Grove regardless of your attendance. After registering, please arrange to e-transfer your payment to The Rotary Club of  London at sronson55@gmail.com. Also, be sure to put who you are paying for in your memo section on the e-transfer so that Sandy Ronson can track payments.
Our next Rotary meeting will mark the official Changeover from my current role as your Club President to our newly appointed President. I wish to invite all members to attend and take part in this important moment of transition and reflection. As a club, we can reflect on our accomplishments this past year. We will warmly welcome our incoming President Lian as she prepares to guide us, with our support, through a new Rotary year of service, fellowship, and purpose. This transition is more than ceremonial. It reflects the enduring strength of our Club and our shared values as Rotarians. At the heart of this handover lies the enduring wisdom of Rotary’s Four-Way Test — a compass for both leadership and service. As we reflect on the past year and look forward to what lies ahead, let us continue to hold these principles close, not just in our words but in our actions, decisions, and leadership. Change in Rotary is not an end, but a passage — one that connects who we’ve been with who we’re becoming. Let’s come together to celebrate the achievements of the past year and commit ourselves anew to serving our community and the world with dedication and purpose.
--YOUTH EXCHANGE LETTTER--
June Newsletter-Bonjour de France! My exchange is over... it's a complicated statement. I am happy to be back in Canada, I know hat I have some basic culture shocks, I know speaking English again isn't exactly easy (for a while
it seemed unnatural). The biggest shock for me is the year being over so soon. It is a tough thing to end, my friends and families are no longer with me everyday, I feel a little out of place because I was away for so long, many people don't understand what exchanges are here, and I still have to readjust a little. I remember my last weekend, Rotary set up an event for all the district students to come together and for everyone to see each other one last time, we went to a market, went paddleboarding, did a big flag signing, and spent our final moments together. As great as the weekend was, by the end there was not a dry eye in sight. I suppose all the challenges are the same, just in reverse. I know I was warned about this, but it is very difficult to recover from an exchange when going through the same challenges. Leaving an exchange will always be a bittersweet moment, I knew it was time to go but I didn't  process that meant coming back to Canada and rediscovering everything I missed. I even went to the mall and kept asking “when did that get here?” Just for the same response of “that store has been here for a while” at least the Chinese food place is still active. The best thing for me to do now is get ready for next year. I have grade 11, I'm going to be my high school robotics team captain, I'm going to start on my driver's license, I'm going to see my friends again, watch sitcoms with my family and I'm going to enjoy the opportunity I have in Canada. My other letters showed how I had the best year of my life, now I just need to accept that I am back in Canada and make the next year even more amazing.  Georgie Stre

--THANK YOU FROM HARRY--
I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed and otherwise supported the London Walk to End ALS on Saturday, especially those for the Forest City Rollers team.   Here is a brief recap.
·      There were over 60 walkers on the Forest City Rollers team plus several of my family members who worked as volunteers at the event.
·      I was given the opportunity to cut the ribbon to start the walk with Kathleen, daughter Emily, son-in-law Tom and granddaughter Lucy.
·      I was able to complete all 5km in a powered wheelchair generously provided pro bono by Precision Home Medical Equipment … it was slow but steady throughout.
·      The weather gods were semi-co-operative … it drizzled during the walk itself but never really poured and then the skies cleared at noon (just as I was finishing the walk … gheesh ).
Now for some good numbers:
·      Everyone exceeded my wildest expectations, giving so generously that I had to raise the team goal FIVE times as the contributions kept coming in over the last couple months and especially last few days, from $7,500 initially to $10,000, then to $15K, then $20K, then $25K and finally $30K on Friday.     As of this writing, the Forest City Rollers raised a total of more than $33,000 that will go to ALS research and community support    Again, a HUGE THANKS 🙏 to everyone.  Harry
