Our next LUNCH meeting is Monday December 11th at the Highland Country Club located at 1922 Highland Heights, London, Ontario. Price of this meeting is $30 per person and it will be a self-serve light buffet. The meeting room will be open from 11:30 AM for fellowship and the buffet will also be available then. So.... please plan on arriving no later than 11:45 AM so that you have time to serve yourself and find a table to sit at. Our business meeting will start at NOON but no later than 12:15 PM. We will endeavor to end the meeting by 1:00 PM. As usual we need you to register for this meeting. The Registration Link will close at 2:00 PM Friday Dec 8th so that we can advise Highland CC regarding numbers. Please register as soon as possible but be sure to register before 2 PM Friday. After you have registered please arrange to e-transfer your payment to The Rotary Club of London at sronson55@gmail.com. Also be sure to put who you are paying for in your memo section on the e-transfer so that Sandy Ronson can track payments.
Our guest speaker on Monday will be Megan Papadakos. Megan joined the Autism Ontario team this past June. She received her diploma from the University of Western Ontario, in Religious Studies and Philosophy, then using her education to work within the non-profit field for the past 15 years. Recently, she returned to school to pursue her Fundraising Management Certificate to work towards providing opportunities to all people in our community, by ensuring funds and resources are available to help build and sustain a future for all. By joining the Autism Ontario team, Megan hopes to build strong relationships, listen to what the community needs, and help make a positive impact in our society. She also volunteers for Diabetes Canada and the Alzheimer’s Society, believing it is important to give back to the institutions and people that impact your life.

On Tuesday Nov 28, President John Finan, Foundation member Stephen Knox and LSC Chairman presented $3,000 to the Westminster High School Robotics Team to sponsor the team for 2023&2024.
--SALVATION ARMY--
At the November 27th meeting the Club and Foundation presented Center of Hope executive director and Club member Jon DeActis with $2,175.00 to restart the Christmas Dinner event at the Center of Hope.
--THAMES VALLEY CHILDREN'S CENTRE --
On Oct 11, 2023 John Finan, President of the Rotary Club of London presented $10,000 & Howard Shears, President of the Rotary Club of London Foundation presented $20,000 to the TVCC to assist with the purchase of the Panoramic-Cephalometric X-Ray machine for the TVCC’s Cleft Lip & Palate program. The participants from left to right were Kim Taylor, TVCC, John Finan, Paul Hogarth, COO of TVCC, Howard Shears, Tim Tribe and Scott Fortnum of the Children ‘s Health Foundation band Don Stevens. The new X-ray machine is expected to be in service by year end.

John Finan completes the induction of Gilles Boko to the Rotary Club of London. Gilles transferred his membership from The Rotary Club of Yamoussoukra on The Ivory Coast of Africa to Rotary Club of London.
