--FACE TO FACE MEETINGS RECOMMENCE THIS MONDAY MAY 23RD--
As mentioned during the our past few meetings, our next meeting on Monday, May 23rd will be a "in person" meeting at the Highland Golf Club (1922 Highland Heights, London). We will have a short presentation for our Community Paul Harris Recognition but this meeting is meant to be more fellowship than one of our normal meetings. As this is our first in person meeting this year and we are expecting that a number of Rotarians will be attending with their spouses we are asking everyone to confirm their attendance using this link  (note: deadline for this is Friday at 3:00pm). Doors/Bar will open at 5:00pm. Plated Dinner is at 6:00pm.
Our In Person meeting fee is $50/person (with dinner) or $20/person (without dinner) and payment options include: E-Transfer to Sandy in advance (preferred) OR  Cash (on arrival) OR Credit Card (on arrival but least desirable)  Note:  Anyone that still has pre-Covid lunch tickets valued at $25 can use them as payment as well. For those unable to attend in person we will be making the meeting available using our normal Monday meeting Zoom link below. As Covid is still a risk, we recommend the wearing of a mask when not at your table.
ZOOM--Here are the details:  Time:  The Zoom meeting will “open” at 11:30 am for those that want to socialize before the meeting which starts at 12:00 pm.

--Message from Shekhar Mehta, RI President and the 2021-22 RI Board of Directors--
To ensure that the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion are ingrained in everything we do, the RI Board of Directors, guided by the DEI Task Force, has strengthened our commitment to DEI and is taking action in response to the survey findings. Our DEI Code of Conduct What we say and how we behave matter. Although free expression is important, we must take responsibility for how our words and actions may affect others. The Board has approved a new DEI Code of Conduct to help Rotary members create and maintain an environment that is collaborative, positive, and healthy for everyone.

--Note from Randy Harden--
The Rotary Club of London is participating in the 2022-23 Rotary Youth Exchange Program. We are in need of a host family for our inbound student from Switzerland Nanda Jurt. We require 3 families (Sept -Dec, Jan -April, April- mid July). I am happy to report that Club member Ian Davies and family will host Nanda Sep.-Dec. and Harry Joosten and family will host Nanda Jan-April. We are actively looking for a host family to host Nanda in April-mid July. Hosting an exchange student is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for all family members. Please contact Randy Harden (YEO) randy.harden@gmail.com if you, or if you know someone who would like to host our inbound student. I am happy to answer any questions you may have about this important Rotary program.
