Our next LUNCH meeting is Monday September 11th at the Highland Country Club located at 1922 Highland Heights, London, Ontario. Price of this meeting is $30 per person and it will be a self-serve light buffet. The meeting room will be open from 11:30 AM for fellowship and the buffet will also be available then. So.... please plan on arriving no later than 11:45 AM so that you have time to serve yourself and find a table to sit at. Our business meeting will start at NOON but no later than 12:15 PM. We will endeavor to end the meeting by 1:00 PM. As usual we need you to register for this meeting. The Registration Link will close at 2:00 PM Friday Sept 8th so that we can advise Highland CC regarding numbers. Please register as soon as possible but be sure to register before 2 PM Friday. After you have registered please arrange to e-transfer your payment to The Rotary Club of London at sronson55@gmail.com. Also be sure to put who you are paying for in your memo section on the e-transfer so that Sandy Ronson can track payments.
Our speaker will be Tariq Khan. Tariq is national director for Transportation Action Canada as well as regional director Transport Action Ontario. He is also National Director at Cancer Registries Canada - an Organization dedicated to cancer research. His most recent community service portfolio for City of London includes; Chair Integrated Transportation Advisory Committee (ITCAC); former Vice-Chair and Commissioner London Transit Commission; present Member Court of Revision; member of the Western Fair Association programming council and President of the Optimist Club of North London. As Chair of the ITCAC, Tariq will briefly cover the nature and domain ITCAC and introduce the Chairs four ITCAC sub-committees, who will speak about their respective sub-committee functions. The Chairs are; Trevor Kerr: Chair Environment and Transit subcommittee, Dan Foster: Chair Mobility Master Plan subcommittee, Vincent Lubrano: Chair Activate Transportation subcommittee, Antonio Santiago: Chair Road Safety & Vision Zero subcommittee. There will be time for questions following the four presentations.

Rotary Club of London Family Mini-Golf & BBQ at East Park - Sat. Sept. 23, 10:30 AM
President John & the Fundraising Committee have scheduled a fun family event for Saturday, Sept. 23 at 10:30 am. It will be one round of mini-golf on East Park's 18 hole course followed by a BBQ on the patio. East Park is at 1275 Hamilton Rd. We need to have a minimum of 50 participants (family & friends) in order for this to work. We will need your commitment/registration and the number of people in your party no later than Friday, Sept. 15. Payment can be made to Sandy Ronson our treasurer by etransfer - sronson55@gmail.com

TVCC presents Under the StarsBackground Under the Stars will be an outdoor movie event in support of TVCC and vital services. The event will take place outdoors at London International Airport and include various family-friendly activities with a carnival-like theme. The evening will end with a screening of a feature film to be enjoyed by all who attend. The inaugural Under the Stars event on September 22, 2023, will support TVCC in helping children and youth with disabilities participate anywhere they are. Objectives: 1. To raise funds for TVCC ($60,000+) 2. Attract 16 + new sponsors and partners (approx. $70,000) 3. Attract in-kind partners and preferred vendors / auction partners 4. Attract 250 vehicle (average 3 per car / 750 people) 5. Attract mix of families 6. Attract local business. 7. Build awareness about TVCC 8. Create two levels of spots VIP / GA.
