On September 22, 2025, the Rotary Club of London welcomed Chris Moss of LondonCares.ca as our guest speaker.
Chris shared a sobering message about the homelessness crisis in London, Ontario — a crisis marked by underfunded services, inadequate shelter spaces, and stop-gap measures that are simply not enough. The challenges highlighted included lack of affordable housing, limited detox and treatment centres, and shelter beds that are always full. Rotary is committed to action. As one step, we are supporting 519 Pursuit — an agency coordinated by London Cares — through a Sock Drive to provide dignity and comfort for our most vulnerable neighbours. After her presentation Club President Lian Bardaweel presented Chris with a certificate of appreciation, noting that a donation has been made to immunize 50 children against Polio — a Rotary tradition that links our local service to global impact.
